P-Day Update Week 6, 3/24/2022

¡Buenas tardes!  My final week in the CCM has been just wonderful! It hasn't been super exciting but just good day after good day this week! One of the most eventful days was definitely Monday. It started off fairly normal, good breakfast, good morning class, and good lunch. But after lunch and the gym the other Elders in our district came late to class because, get this, our house flooded. They told us that they were just hanging out in the room when another house-mate of ours said "uh elders, you should see this" and when they looked down the hall they saw water rushing out of the kitchen that we were locked out of. They didn't really know how to react, but they just got the important stuff off the floor and tried their best to sweep the water out of the house, while others went to reception to let someone know. The CCM guys sent a plumber to fix it right then, it turns out a pipe burst in the kitchen, which just filled the house with gunky black water! but by the

¡Hola! This week has absolutely flown by! It feels like it was just yesterday I was writing my letter last week. But there were still plenty of things that happened this week that I will impart to my loyal readers! The rest of my P-Day last week went pretty well, we went to the gym and just enjoyed the day before heading to bed, not being aware of what lay ahead DUH DUH DUUUUH!!  On Friday a few of our district members had to go to the downtown Mexico City Immigration office to receive green cards. The visa that I received prior to my mission runs out in July so we need to get a little more "permanent" authority to live here. Ergo, greencard. So we had to be at the reception building on the CCM compound at 7:00, we got up a little early to make it on time, received a box breakfast and got into a very not sketchy looking unmarked white van. From there we had a 1hr long drive to Immigration through the monstrosity that is Mexico City traffic. Mexico City traffic is muy loco, p

¡Hola! Well it has been a very long and very eventful first couple weeks at the CCM waiting to send this email, I will hit on all the important details! So my first day at the CCM was Tuesday, but most of that day was spent travelling from Huntsville AL, to Mexico City MEX. I got up nice and early on Tuesday to make it to my 7:00 flight, so I didn't have a huge amount of time to say goodbye to the family but we were able to take a selfie at the gate and they sent me on my way! I flew first to Atlanta where I met up with another Elder from my district, Elder Isbell. From there it was straight to CDMX, it wasn't a very long flight (only about 3.5 hours) but I still was able to sleep for the majority of it! We landed in CDMX and went straight to the CCM after meeting up with the rest of my district, first thing on the agenda for the day was to do a quick COVID screening, get our phones, and drop our bags off at our casita. We were placed in casita 40 which is about as far away fro
